David Waizel is the Lead UX Designer at Pastilla, where he leads UX strategy across all phases of the design process, from discovery and wireframing to prototyping, testing, and implementation. With over six years of experience in UX and UI design and a degree in Interactive Arts and Technology from Simon Fraser University, he specializes in transforming complex challenges into meaningful, user-centered digital solutions.
David has worked with organizations like Clean Power Alliance, Santa Clara Valley Water, LA Metro, LA Parks, and the Bureau of Contract Administration. His work blends research, thoughtful design systems, and brand alignment to ensure every product not only looks great but delivers a clear and consistent user experience.
Outside of design, David is a firm believer that cookies should never be eaten without milk. He also claims to make the best guacamole you’ve ever had, and has the battle scars from a monkey bite to prove he’s lived a little.
