Mark Yoder Joins Pastilla’s Team As A Junior Designer

He began his journey and opened a new chapter in his career on May 3rd, 2022. As part of his new position as our Junior Designer, Mark’s key responsibilities will include closely collaborating with the rest of Pastilla’s creative team and developing engaging visual concepts – and, most importantly, continually delivering high-quality work to our clients. Funnily enough, Mark discovered his love of graphic design by “accident.” 

While still in high school, Mark was put in a graphic design class because the tech theater class was already full. He soon realized he liked it enough to pursue further education and a career in this field. And we’re glad that he did! Mark Leo Yoder graduated from The University of Texas in Austin in 2021, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Design. While he was still in school, Mark worked as a graphic design intern at Austin Monthly Magazine and Applied Materials. Prior to accepting this position as a Junior Designer at Pastilla, Mark focused on freelancing and accepted contract roles. As Mark himself remarks, this has given him a chance to work on many types of projects and collaborate with a range of different clients. 

We believe that the time Mark spent working as a freelancer also gave him a unique advantage and taught him invaluable lessons about collaborations, communication, and accountability – all of which will prove crucial as he transitions into a team environment. As for Mark’s expectations regarding his new role at Pastilla, he admits that open and clear communication with his teammates is something he looks forward to here.
